Chris is a Senior Manager in KPMG’s Forensic Technology practice with over 15 years of eDiscovery, digital forensic and cyber security experience. Chris frequently works in collaboration with clients to develop custom proactive and reactive responses to eDiscovery, digital forensic and cyber security threats.

Chris is recognized by Law Business Research’s Who’s Who Legal Canada as a leading eDiscovery practitioner in Canada. He has extensively worked on various eDiscovery projects, insider threat investigations, cyber incident response investigations, digital forensic investigations and with respect to the development and implementation of governance frameworks associated with security controls. Chris’ experience enables him to identify, implement and operationalize appropriate and cost-effective solutions to technology and security challenges.

Michael Lalande, Senior Director, FTI Consulting

Michael Lalande is listed as a National Leader in eDiscovery with Who’s Who Legal. Former eDiscovery counsel, now engaged as a Senior Director at FTI Consulting, Mr. Lalande’s main focus is on eDiscovery and Digital evidence. He has authored several eDiscovery academic publications, chapters of books, and Sedona Canada Principles. Mr. Lalande is a member of the Digital Evidence eDiscovery Working Group, Sedona Conference, and the EDRM working group.

Gordon Lee, eDiscovery Lawyer, Vice President, MT>3 (a division of McCarthy Tétrault LLP)

Gordon Lee is a lawyer at MT>3, a division of McCarthy Tétrault. His practice covers all phases of e-Discovery and information governance, with a particular focus on leveraging legal technology for complex data analysis. Gordon advises clients on a wide range of litigation and regulatory matters, including class actions, large-scale commercial litigation, and Competition Bureau Supplementary Information Requests. He has worked with clients on Information Governance projects across various industries, including banking, finance, retail, manufacturing, professional services, and transportation. Gordon frequently provides advice on best practices for data retention, defensible disposition, legal holds, and privacy. Prior to his current role in e-Discovery, Gordon worked for the Ministry of the Attorney General on a prominent public inquiry and practiced in insurance defence litigation.

Jennifer Thompson is the Head of Osler Works – Disputes, which houses Osler’s Discovery Management Services, along with many other innovative litigation solutions. Jennifer’s previous commercial litigation, project management and knowledge management experience make her uniquely positioned to facilitate Osler’s efficient and effective delivery of cutting-edge legal services. Jennifer and her team accomplish this by working with all members of the Litigation Department to ensure that the legal, intellectual and practical expertise of each member is captured and readily accessible to all legal professionals at Osler. Jennifer also leads the continuous assessment and development of legal technology in the Litigation Department and facilitates the education and training of Osler litigators and clients with respect to new developments in this area.
